Eight trainees went on 25th of June, together with 3 staff members, to the Estate for special Field Work.
The first day they had to pluck tea like a real tea plucker. That was complete new for them. In theory they knew everything, but this was different!
The second day they had to learn everything about cinnamon en how the peeling is done. It is not as easy as it looks! Professional cinnamon peelers were at work and they could first observe them and later try out themselves.
The last day they were studying the fruit trees and could pluck rambutan and mangostine to take to school for the deaf children. They also were eating a lot themselves.
They had a marvelous time, in the afternoon first swimming in the pool, cooking together for dinner and after that playing card games and carom.
