Farewell of the Vice Principal: Mrs. Mala Mangalika on 30-05-2025.
After a service of 37 years in the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf, Mrs. Mala resigned on 31st of May.
She started as a class assistant by the small children and after she got the Diploma as a Montessori teacher, she got her own group of deaf children. Later she followed a course in speech therapy, so that she could work as a speech therapist and she could use the audiometer to make an audiogram.
Mrs. Mala was loved by the children. She was child friendly, dedicated to her work and trustworthy.
The farewell event was well organized with a very nice presentation. The pupils did a special dance for her about her life here in our Deaf School, instructed by our dance teacher Rashmi.
She got a lot of presents and nice cushion covers, painted by a group of the deaf pupils, together with Pathum.
Also present were her husband, her daughter with son in law and some friends.
